In 2008, Amapari's All Injuries Frequency Rate was at 2.39. We thank our Specialized Safety Engineering and Occupational Medicine Service for an outstanding job for obtaining an effective control of activity risks. MPBA is also very proud to announce that it has become a member of the Brazilian Mining Institute and is effectively participating in the creation of the Occupational Health and Safety Program for mining in Brazil.

Some of the main actions developed include intensive training in various prevention areas, risk analysis and task monitoring, area and equipment safety inspections, daily tasks on occupational health and safety, in-house accident and disease prevention campaigns, and occupational medical exams.
